How I came back to Apple
I used to be a Mac pretender. I was a PC gamer, and a pretty extreme tinkerer. I was jealous of the lifestyle more than the hardware... tried to to do both... Not successful.
I couldn't afford to keep both and I was unwilling to convert completely. I also was really into Android which is kind of automatically anti-iPhone. And so, I was on board with T-mobile and loved it for the unique and well priced plans.
Eventually I got rid of my apple stuff and enjoyed PC and Android life. Then came the tablet wars. I got a Galaxy Tab. Having a big phone that doesn't make calls is okay. Not having good choices for accessories was not. All the good stuff was for iPad.
I waited for TMobile to get the G-slate. Silly T-mobile. No date. No price. I sold my Nexus One. I sold my Galaxy Tab. I bought a 16 gb iPhone 4 from craigslist and a 64 gb iPad 1 on discount from ATT.
No contract. Exactly what I liked about TMobile. I ported. Better coverage. More expensive, but hey... T-mobile gave up by selling out to ATT anyway. Might as well get on it now.
Oh, and I got a MacBook Pro from my buddy and fixed it up. I'm now the Mac Daddy.
I love accessories. Got my iPhone and iPad all tricked out. Got a Book Arc. Found invisible shield at Goodwill. found a case cover at T. J. Maxx.
Handbrake has prebuilt settings for movie transcodes. Win!
Need a Cinema Display now. And a stand for my iPad. Guess I can't buy those withe the iTunes coupons I got from trading electronics in at The Shack.
It's out of control. But it helped pass the time waiting for #G-Slate to tell me something on Twitter. Now it's Launch day for the LG G2x and the G-Slate. I guess I don't care now. All I wanted was a device to play Samurai II: Vengeance. Silly Tegra Exclusive game. Works on my old iPhone and iPad which is available now.
