Voting Early

I voted early today. After going to the gym, we took the kids and my mom-in-law to the Southport location and spent about 45 min total doing a pre-arranged absentee ballot. Not a bad alternative. If it is this way all across the nation, I wonder how it will affect the process of voting in the future. Maybe we'll vote online from the comfort of our homes. Heck, the IRS sure is willing to take my money over the Internet...

It is not fair that Democrats who tend to dominate in urban areas are allowed to have almost 2 weeks of early voting. The suburbs and rural areas who tend to vote Republicans only have one day to vote, thus imagine if there was bad weather or the like on that one day.

@Helen:

I'm not sure you understand. 1. I didn't even vote straight ticket. 2. Anyone who wanted to vote the way I did could. It is anything but unfair.

I guess the real question is, "Who are you repeating this nonsense from?" Whoever it is, stop listening to them. They are feeding you lies.

I am sooooooo sick of people just spouting party talking lines. You want to impress me? Think for yourself. The reason this country is in the mess it is, is because of people like you who think that having your party in office is more important that having the country run well. And all of this from someone who voted republican.
